Quotes for Existing Customers
When a quote is generated for an existing customer, it is advisable to attach the quote to the customer's account. This attachment facilitates efficient tracking of the offers and quotes that a customer has received over time. Linking quotes to customer accounts enriches the customer's history, offering valuable insights into their interactions and preferences.
Attaching a Quote to an Existing Customer Account
There are two primary ways to associate a quote with an existing customer account:
Directly from the Customer Account Page: Navigate to the Customers page, search for the desired customer using criteria such as name, email, or address, and then proceed to the Quotes section. Here, you can create a new quote directly, ensuring it is automatically linked to the customer's account from the start.
Attaching to a Quote in Progress: If a quote is already underway, it can still be linked to an existing customer account. On the quote page, look for the '+' icon next to the 'Account' headline in the sidebar. A popup will appear, allowing you to search for and select the existing customer account by their details. Confirm by clicking the 'Attach customer' button.
This approach ensures that all relevant customer interactions are documented and accessible, enhancing the customer service experience.
Handling Quotes for New Customers
For potential customers who do not yet have a customer account, it is generally advised against creating an account until a quote has been accepted. This precaution helps maintain a clean and manageable database, avoiding unnecessary accounts.
Automatic Account Creation Upon Quote Acceptance
When a new customer accepts a quote, InsurFront automates the creation of a customer account. This efficiency eliminates the need for manual account setup, streamlining the transition from prospective to active customer.
Managing Multiple Accounts
In instances where an existing customer requests a quote for different entities they represent, such as a sole proprietorship or an LLC, care should be taken not to reflexively attach the quote to their personal customer account. InsurFront accommodates the existence of multiple customer accounts under the same email address, allowing for accurate representation and management of diverse insurance needs.
Unified Access Through My Account
For users with a customer account, InsurFront offers a unified view through the My Account feature. Here, customers can access all their accounts and view the quotes received, provided these quotes are attached to the customer accounts they are associated with. This consolidation enhances the user experience, offering a comprehensive overview of their interactions and policies with the insurance provider.
